Presentation Topic:
The presentation opens with a discussion as to “3 Reasons Why Oil Analysis Programs Fail”. This is followed by the introduction of, the utilization of a “Service Card” as a “Service Guide” for the Customer / Technicans. The illustrated application is an Engine Oil and Filter Change.
The service process promoted by the “Service Card” is based off of OEM Operation and Troubleshooting Manuals, Recommended Oil Sample Intervals and Failure Analysis Data.
Caution: Sampling of fluids at OEM recommended intervals will be recommended / promoted.
Our speaker:
Ralph started his career by taking a two-year program at NAIT, Industrial Heavy Equipment Technology (IHET). HET apprenticeship was next on the list and was completed by working for Amoco Petroleum (Marten Hills). Ralph then spent some time working at Ferguson Supply and Baker Engineering Enterprises followed by 22 years at NAIT and 20 years at Finning Canada before retiring in 2024.
